I've been involved for 45 years.

What is your first memory of baton twirling?
My daughter was asked to join a local group that was starting up. The woman who ran the corps asked myself and another mum to take over running the group when she became ill. We were one of the founder corps of NBTA England forty years ago. I joined the NBTA EC a few years later.

What are you looking forward to most at the first IBTF World Baton Twirling Championships?
I hope that everyone who comes to Liverpool has a wonderful experience and that we now all move forward together in IBTF, taking the best things from both associations. There will be some things that are different to what we have all been used to for many years, but going forward, we must all compromise to make IBTF the best it can possibly be. On a recent visit to the Arena in Liverpool, the merger was referred to as a marriage. The WBTF and NBTA families have been engaged for a long while and now we're planning the IBTF wedding. Let's ensure we include all members of both families.
